Teaching Interests
My teaching interests include Practice Management and Ethics for the Dental Hygienist as well as Theory and Practice III for the Dental Hygienist. In addition, I am the Senior clinical coordinator for the senior dental hygiene students. I am responsible for meeting with each student and developing individual plans for requirement completion for graduation.

Research Interests
My higher education research explores how academic units and experiences influence both faculty and student success in allied health programs. Specifically, my work examines how mock licensure clinical examinations in dental hygiene education impact performance on actual licensure exams, providing data-driven insights to refine simulation-based learning and assessment strategies. Currently, I serve as the principal investigator (PI) for the ongoing IRB-approved study Perspectives and Outcomes of Dental Hygiene Students’ Experiences with Simulated Clinical Boards: A Case Study, which investigates how simulated clinical board experiences influence student confidence, competence, and outcomes on national licensure examinations.
Additionally, I investigate faculty work-life balance and work-life harmony, focusing on how institutional culture and policy implementation affect faculty engagement, productivity, and retention in health sciences programs. These interests are exemplified in my dissertation, A’see, K. (2024). How Do Faculty’s Perceptions of Work-Life Balance Culture Affect Faculty's Utilization of Work-Life Balance Policies (The University of North Georgia, ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Global). This study illuminated the complex relationship between institutional culture, faculty perceptions, and the practical use of work-life balance resources, offering implications for leadership and policy design in higher education.
