Department of Family Medicine
Dr. Brown is a Family Medicine Physician in the Department of Family & Community Medicine. She obtained her B.S. in Biomedical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology, her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine, and completed her residency training at Spartanburg Regional Family Medicine Residency Program in SC. She is the Associate Program Director for the Family Medicine Clerkship at the Medical College of Georgia.
Dr. Brown's teaching interests include a variety of Family Medicine based concepts, as she is a preceptor for the Family Medicine residents. In addition, she teaches clinical skills as a Pre-clerkship Patient Centered Learning instructor at the Medical College of Georgia. She also teaches the Food is Medicine/Lifestyle Medicine elective.
Dr. Brown's clinical interests include Lifestyle Medicine, which is an evidence-based medical specialty that applies therapeutic lifestyle interventions to treat, reverse, and prevent chronic conditions. She is also interested in women's health, prenatal care, and pediatrics.
