Bio

I have been studying the biochemical basis of endothelial (EC) cytoskeletal regulation and permeability for nearly 15 years. In the beginning of my career, my scientific focus was on the regulatory role of protein phosphorylation and dephosphorylation in cellular processes and mechanisms that regulate EC contractility. More recently my research interest has broadened up and also started to identify and characterize novel therapeutic agents that are able to increase alveolar liquid clearance, crucial for proper gas exchange, in conditions of infection and inflammation of the lungs.
