Teaching Interests
I enjoy teaching medical students and residents in the ambulatory pediatric clinic with focus on clinical reasoning skills, patient-centered care, and communication skills. My particular teaching interest include breastfeeding medicine, literacy interventions and the impact on children’s brain development and early relational health. I also enjoy advising medical students that have declared pediatrics in navigating their medical school journey to residency match.
Research Interests
My research focuses on pediatric student medical education, early literacy interventions, and quality improvement projects in the ambulatory clinical setting. I am especially interested in student education pediatric curriculum development.
