Dr. Berman received his M.D. degree from the University of Mississippi, and completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Following this, Dr. Berman completed a fellowship in Cardiology at the Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans where he served as Chief Fellow. He then completed a fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Berman is board certified in Cardiac Electrophysiology, Cardiology, Adult Echocardiography, and Internal Medicine. Dr. Berman joined the faculty at MCG in 2006, and primarily focuses on complex arrhythmia ablation including ischemic ventricular tachycardia ablation and pulmonary vein isolation procedures. He is currently principal investigator on several ongoing trials involving cardiac resynchronization therapy, as well as a protocol investigating novel mapping techniques during ischemic VT ablation. In his spare time, Dr. Berman enjoys coaching baseball and Cajun cooking.
