FOCUS

Life-Changing, Life-Saving Education

For students in medicine, dentistry, allied health sciences, nursing and pharmacy at Augusta University, the curriculum extends far beyond the classroom as students hone their skills and deploy techniques through direct patient care interactions.

Students in the Medical College of Georgia, the Dental College of Georgia, and the colleges of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences have the opportunity to experience life-changing learning by delivering life-saving care inside the walls of Augusta University Medical Center, the Children’s Hospital of Georgia, the Dental College of Georgia, Roosevelt Warms Springs Rehabilitation and Specialty Hospitals and the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home. Students may also participate in cutting-edge research to advance the future of treatments and care. This combination of clinical practice, education and research are unique to Augusta University and the only 120 academic health centers nationwide.

HEALTH FOCUSED

Academic Health Center Advantage

Augusta University Health's primary missions are patient care, education and research. This means we bring world-class clinicians, pioneering research, and the latest technologies and breakthroughs to the region.

Academic health centers teach tomorrow’s health care professionals, and the only way to do this is to stay on top of the latest treatments and tools. In turn, the providers are challenged by this culture of continuous learning. This benefits patients by leading to better care and health outcomes.
