
The CETC will serve as a central training site for Counselor Education students completing practicum and internship requirements.
Students will provide counseling services under close supervision, participate in regular individual, triadic, and group supervision, and engage in structured feedback and skills development activities. The center will also support live or recorded session review, case conceptualization, and integration of coursework with clinical practice, ensuring a comprehensive training experience.
The mission of the Counselor Education Training Center (CETC) is to serve as a training site for students in the M.Ed. in Counselor Education program, while also providing supplemental high quality, ethically-grounded and affordable counseling services to the AU community. The CETC is designed to bridge theory and practice by offering students a structured, supervised environment in which they can develop clinical skills, professional identity, and cultural responsiveness. In doing so, the CETC directly supports the program’s training goals and accreditation aligned competencies.”
