Podcasting as well as audio platforms are becoming one of the most popular trends
in our ever-changing digital world. Augusta University is proud to offer podcasting opportunities to our students, faculty,
staff and alumni.
Whether you enjoy listening to podcasts or would like to start your own, we have a range of resources to get you started.
In the Wild, Augusta University’s official podcast, is a weekly podcast hosted by AU alumni Raysean Ricks. He catches you up with university news, events and breaks down what life is really like for a college student. Join in on these conversations as he catches you up with everything happening ‘in the wild.’
A podcast is an episodic series of digital audio files that can be downloaded or streamed, often in MP3 format. Unlike traditional radio or other web-based streaming media, podcasts give listeners control over when they hear the recording.
Podcasts are more popular and easier to access than ever before. This means that podcasting presents an amazing opportunity in higher education – if you use the medium correctly.
Augusta University offers a few campus locations to record a podcast in a private location. All students interested in reserving a space must have a faculty or staff representative. Note that these spaces are private classroom spaces and not audio studios, but audiovisual equipment is available to rent.
Per enterprise policy - faculty, staff, and student organization leadership can reserve enterprise space. Some spaces can be booked by external entities at a cost. If you have questions regarding your ability to schedule space, contact the Office of Classroom and Event Scheduling at 706-721-0902. For after-hour audiovisual assistance, contact the IT help desk at 706-721-4000.
