The Corporate & Community Engagement team serves as Augusta University’s bridge between campus and community, fostering collaborations that drive innovation, workforce development, and regional growth.
By cultivating partnerships with industry, government, and nonprofits, the department advances research, supports entrepreneurship, and strengthens economic vitality across Georgia. Its mission is to connect the university’s expertise and resources with community needs, creating opportunities that benefit students, partners, and the state’s economy.

Our Impact
Augusta University plays a vital role in driving Georgia’s economy, generating more than $1.6 billion in total economic impact in FY 2024 and supporting over 11,500 jobs across the state. Through education, research, health care, and innovation, the university fuels growth and opportunity, strengthening both the local community and the broader region.
Economic Impact across The State
Marking a 4.6% increase over the previous year – and generated 11,543 jobs. This is according to the University System of Georgia’s annual “Economic Impact of University System of Georgia Institutions.”

Graduates and Workforce
Augusta University’s degree trends show that annual conferrals across disciplines, including STEM, cyber, health sciences, and business, are steadily rising as part of the institution’s growing portfolio.

Advisory Councils
Our councils help shape programs, ensure curricula stay relevant to industry needs, and open doors for students through internships, mentorship, and networking. By aligning academic strengths with community and workforce priorities, advisory councils play a key role in keeping AU’s programs forward-looking and impactful.
Community Engagement Leadership Council
The council’s work is to share best practices and increase communication to promote opportunities in campus-community partnership, emerging community-engaged scholarship and research, and other related initiatives.
Regional Innovation Advisory Committee
Our mission is to spark innovation through shared expertise, creative problem-solving, and actionable insights that address economic, technological, and social challenges in the Augusta River Region.
