Breast Cancer Surgery

Treating breast cancer is the focus of our breast surgical oncologists. As part of the Augusta University Breast Health Center team, we play a critical role in providing the first line of treatment for breast cancer.

Our breast surgical oncologists are experts at treating breast cancer. We have completed surgical oncology fellowships as part of our training, and perform more than just breast biopsies, lumpectomies and mastectomies. We routinely work in multidisciplinary teams that include plastic surgeons to offer patients the full spectrum of reconstructive options for the best possible cosmetic results.

Our experts at the Augusta University Breast Health Center work together to make it easy for patients from Georgia and South Carolina to access multidisciplinary breast cancer care. Breast cancer patients can schedule individual appointments with the Augusta University Medical Center's team of breast cancer oncologists, surgeons, radiologists and other caregivers on one day, in one location.
