Pediatric Surgery

The Pediatric Surgery Section at the Children's Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia provides comprehensive general and specialized thoracic pediatric surgical care for children from birth to age 18.

Our team includes the only board-certified pediatric surgeons in the Augusta area, as well as pediatric anesthesiologists and other specialists skilled in the specific care of children. We offer treatment of a wide range of congenital (existing at birth) and acquired conditions. These include common conditions, such as appendicitis and hernias, as well as rare or complex ones, such as pediatric tumors, congenital abnormalities and TK.

From routine procedures to complex trauma care, we perform more than 6,000 pediatric procedures each year. The conditions we treat include:
