  • To provide outstanding educational programs in Periodontics to prepare dental professionals at the dental student program and postdoctoral levels and to offer lifelong learning opportunities for members of the profession.  
  • To provide high quality, state-of-the-art periodontal and dental implant treatment which includes oral health promotion and oral disease prevention and which encourages innovation in dental health care delivery to meet the changing dental health care needs of the people of Georgia.  
  • To conduct research in Periodontics, Oral Biology and Implantology that generates and applies biomedical knowledge and technology to oral health and disease and promotes the transfer of technology to the dental care delivery system.
