The CAHS Office of the Associate Dean for Research facilitates the submission of grants for the College. CAHS faculty planning to submit a research proposal must notify the CAHS Office of Associate Dean for Research before submitting any grant application.
New Principal Investigators (PI) must obtain eSproute training, and the CAHS Pre Award will assist in setting that up. The Division of Sponsored Programs Administration (DSPA) requires that training for all new faculty who submit grants.
The CAHS Pre Award office will assist the PI in developing the Budget and the Justification. The Budget and Justification must be finalized and ready for the CAHS Pre Award office to route through eSproute no less than five (5) working days before the grant deadline. In addition, the grant packet should be ready with all attachments to go to DSPA for review no less than three (3) working days before the due date of the grant submission.
The Post Award office in the CAHS Office of the Associate Dean for Research works in conjunction with the Division of Sponsored Programs Administration (DSPA) to monitor renewals, revisions, no-cost extensions, and expiring sponsored funding. The CAHS Post Award office also ensures that routing is done for subsequent budget periods, that all regulatory reporting is completed, and that all requirements are met before projects are closed out.
