Khadejah Bates
Khadejah was born and raised in Augusta, GA, and is currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration at Georgia State University. She has proudly served Augusta University for over six years in the Pamplin College Dean’s Office under Dr. Kim Davies. A devoted mother of three, Khadejah enjoys connecting with others and is always eager to offer support and build meaningful relationships within the university community.

Meg Silvery
I am excited to be nominated for Chair-Elect of our Staff Council, bringing my experience
as a Business Operations Specialist and a strong commitment to supporting our team;
I have been with Augusta University for 14 years. I have a passion for organization,
communication, and continuous improvement, and I understand how important it is for
staff to feel heard, valued, and connected. I approach every opportunity with a solutions-focused
mindset and a genuine desire to contribute in meaningful ways.
If chosen as Chair-Elect, I will look forward to learning, supporting the Council’s
leadership, and helping advance initiatives that strengthen our workplace. I am committed
to collaboration, transparency, and representing the voices of our staff with integrity.
My goal is to help build a more engaged and inclusive environment while preparing
to step into future leadership with confidence, dedication, and a clear vision for
continued growth.

Khadejah Bates

Amanda Zabala
Amanda has worked at Augusta University for twelve years, with the past seven dedicated to the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She currently serves as the Fellowship Program Coordinator for the Gynecologic Oncology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility fellowship programs. In this role, she oversees the administrative operations of these subspecialty training programs, supporting recruitment, onboarding, curriculum coordination, and accreditation requirements. She collaborates closely with fellows, faculty, and institutional partners to help ensure a strong educational environment and smooth program operations.
For the 2025–2026 academic year, Amanda has been honored to serve as Secretary for Augusta University’s Staff Council. She enjoys utilizing her skills to serve the council while building collaborative relationships across departments.

Jashawn Boles
Jashawn Boles is a native of Oxford, MS. He has been an employee at Augusta University since November 2022 as a member of the Access, Success, and Belonging Office. He has a strong passion for sharing his gift through song and theatre. When he is not working, you can catch him singing with the band he is a member of or leading worship at Sharon Baptist Church. One other hobby that Jashawn loves is cooking. Jashawn loves to use his passion for cooking to bring joy to others through a meal.
He is currently finishing his degree in Business Administration with a concentration on Management at Savannah State University.

Todd Jeffries Jr.
Todd Jeffries serves as a Dental Associates Manager at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, where he oversees faculty practice operations, supports over 30 dentists, and leads a team of more than 15 staff members. In his role, he focuses on improving operational efficiency, strengthening financial performance, and ensuring a high standard of patient care. He holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and a Master of Health Administration and has contributed to revenue growth, cost savings, and increased accountability within the clinic through strategic planning and process improvement.
Todd brings a strong foundation in financial stewardship and accountability, having served as Treasurer for his collegiate fraternity, worked as a bank teller with Wachovia Bank (now Wells Fargo), and managed multiple military budget accounts as a Hospital Operations Manager. He is passionate about transparency, service, and responsible financial management. As Treasurer, Todd aims to promote clear communication, fiscal responsibility, and thoughtful decision-making to support the mission of the AU Staff Council.
