Award for Excellence in Outstanding Commitment to AU

The President’s Spirit of AU Award celebrates an Augusta University employee who exemplifies and inspires positive values and behaviors that define the Jaguar spirit, where every interaction matters. Recipients of this award are characterized by extraordinary generosity, giving their time and abilities beyond general job requirements in support of the university’s mission, vision and values. Their impact is evident in meaningful interactions with colleagues, students, and the broader community. These individuals are motivated by the difference they make at Augusta University, across our state, and beyond. The recipient of this award is selected by a committee appointed by the Office of the President comprised of AU faculty, staff and students.

A note to the nominator: Thank you for taking the time to recognize an outstanding employee of Augusta University. Your thoughtful and detailed nomination is essential as committee members come from various areas across campus and may not personally know your nominee. The more insight, examples, and context you can provide, the better the committee will understand the impact of your nominee’s contributions. Eligibility

• Nominees must be a full-time Augusta University employee in good performance standing
• Nominees cannot be members of the current award selection committee
• Eligible contributions must have occurred during the most recently completed fiscal year (FY 2026)
