The MPH Internship is your opportunity to put classroom learning into practice. You’ll build professional skills, connect with mentors, and gain practical experience that prepares you for your future career in public health.
What is the MPH Internship?
The MPH Internship is a 2-credit hour course that requires 75 hours of field experience completed over one semester (16 weeks in Fall/Spring or 12 weeks in Summer).
It offers students practical, applied learning opportunities in public health while focusing on their MPH concentration areas:
- Health Informatics
- Health Management
- Social & Behavioral Health Sciences

Interested in Registering?
Students preparing for the internship will work closely with the Internship Coordinator, Site Preceptor, Student Success & Engagement Advisor, and MPH Program Coordinator to complete the required prerequisite paperwork before they can register.
Steps to Get Started:
- Complete the "Internship Interest Form" at least 1.5 semesters in advance.
- Meet with the Internship Coordinator after submitting the form to receive access to the required materials.
- Review the Internship Manual prior to your meeting to understand expectations and requirements.
