Davies named dean of Pamplin College at Augusta University
Congratulations to Dr. Kim Davies! Davies, who began her academic career at Augusta University in 1996, has been named the dean of Pamplin College of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences.
We equip our students with the tools needed to exercise political and social responsibility at the local, state, national, and international levels. Our programs prepare undergraduates for advanced study in graduate and professional school in various fields and careers in all levels of government, public administration, international relations, human services, and the private sector.
By joining our department, students can fuel their passions, participate in high-impact learning experiences such as internships and study abroad, and plan a route to earn both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree within five years. If you are passionate about solving social problems, contributing to your communities, and participate in political and civic life, then our department is the one for you. Please contact us to talk about how the Social Sciences can help you advance your community and career.
In this video, students and faculty within the Department of Social Sciences explain what the social sciences mean to them and why they're so excited about two previously separate departments coming together for a future full of opportunities.
