You will become familiar with the principles of diet planning, government standards, food labeling, biological functions and food sources of each nutrient. This course is offered online and is available 24/7 from any location.

NCCACertification as a W.I.T.S. Certified Personal Trainer — Level I demonstrates entry-level fitness specific competency and a commitment to consumer safety by individuals who help to improve the health and fitness for clients ranging in age, health, and fitness status through the development and implementation of fitness programs. 

Completion Requirements

  • Students must pass both written and practical exams.
  • Adult CPR/AED certification is required prior to February 23, 2019. See American Heart Association website to find a local CPR/AED class.
  • Within 12 months of the original course start date, complete an additional 30-hour internship after course end to qualify for Personal Trainer Level 2.

Start working right after passing the exams with a LEVEL 1 Certified Personal Trainer

Optional Bonus – Get a Level 2 Certified Personal Trainer by completing an employer mentored 30-hour internship.
