Meeting Dates: Saturdays -- January 26 – February 23, 2019 (no class 3/2/2019)

Meeting Times: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (Lunch Noon-1:00 pm)

Exam Date:  March 9, 2019

Location:  Alumni Center, PaCE Conference Room 9-12p, Augusta University Wellness Center

Cost:  $875 

Overview

  • NCCA Accredited
  • Qualified degreed fitness school instructors
  • 15 hours of practical hands on training not offered with any other certification
  • 15 hours of lecture to prepare you for the National Exam
  • Approved for 3 college credits through the American Council on Education (6 AOTA CEUs / 6.0 IACET CEUs)

  • Required book provided at no cost ($55 value)

NCCACertification as a W.I.T.S. Certified Personal Trainer — Level I demonstrates entry-level fitness specific competency and a commitment to consumer safety by individuals who help to improve the health and fitness for clients ranging in age, health, and fitness status through the development and implementation of fitness programs. 

Completion Requirements

  • Students must pass both written and practical exams.
  • Adult CPR/AED certification is required prior to February 23, 2019. See American Heart Association website to find a local CPR/AED class.
  • Within 12 months of the original course start date, complete an additional 30-hour internship after course end to qualify for Personal Trainer Level 2.

Start working right after passing the exams with a LEVEL 1 Certified Personal Trainer

Optional Bonus – Get a Level 2 Certified Personal Trainer by completing an employer mentored 30-hour internship.
