Welcome to the Office of Graduate Medical Education in the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University.

Our primary mission is to provide support for our 50 residency and fellowship training programs accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). We aim to foster a stimulating clinical learning environment at our extensive primary through quaternary care facilities and offer the full array of patient care activities.

Our trainees encounter a diverse patient population within inpatient and outpatient sites around Augusta, Georgia. Our office advocates for residents and fellows by monitoring and providing support for activities within the GME programs under the guidelines and policies of the  Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University, and Augusta University Medical Center. We believe in a clinical care model that is patient and family centered and strongly focused on education. We challenge ourselves to meet our residents' and fellows' expectations for high quality, innovative learning experiences by providing the robust clinical platform to maximize career potential and fulfill personal and professional goals in a supportive, diverse and inclusive environment.
