Diana Bigler, MD

Hometown: Bowling Green, KY

Undergrad: Rhodes College                        Major: Chemistry

Medical School: University of Kentucky

Research interest(s): Currently working on a VA sinus IRD< head and neck project, and pediatric paper

What drew you to Otolaryngology at MCG? I came for my away rotation my fourth year of medical school. I was highly impressed with the surgical skill and knowledge of the faculty. I was especially encouraged by their enthusiasm to teach. Additionally, I was struck by the camaraderie and genuine care the residents have for each other. We are truly a family and enjoy getting together (pre-Covid, and now in keeping with guidelines) for cook outs or dog park gatherings.

What are your favorite things to do in Augusta? Eating at local restaurants, running/walking along the canal trail (by the Savannah River), and taking my dog to the local bark parks.

What are your future plans? Currently undecided but leaning towards an undetermined fellowship.

Do you have any advice for prospective residents going through the application process? Try to get to know the residents and get a feel for the inter-resident relationships. I have really appreciated knowing that throughout residency, I will continue to get support from my fellow residents and from my mentors.

Chris Johnson

Rebecca Paquin, MD

Hometown: Miami, FL

Undergrad: University of Georgia               Major: Biology

Graduate: Dental College of Georgia

Medical School: Medical College of Georgia

Research interest(s): Head and Neck

What drew you to Otolaryngology at MCG? Mainly the people, but it is also a well rounded program.

What are your favorite things to do in Augusta? Yoga, bike, hike with my dogs.

What are your future plans? Head and Neck

Do you have any advice for prospective residents going through the application process? Get to know the people at the places that you are considering to match. They will make a huge difference over the next five years.
