Patient Care
The division of Hospital Medicine provides exceptional care to hospitalized patients
at MCG Wellstar. We have dedicated physicians and advanced practice providers that
provide proactive medical management for complex patients. The hospitalist work together
with other specialties and sub-specialties to provide comprehensive care to the patients
admitted to the service.
On average, we care for 50% of the inpatient population at MCG Wellstar using a collaborative
approach that includes teaching services, non-teaching services, and APPs. We provide
coverage for general floor patients and assist with coverage in the stepdown units.
MCG Wellstar Hospitalist provide, in house, attending coverage 24 hours/day to help
meet the needs of our patients and learners. Hospitalist strive to provide the highest
quality of care and meet the continued increasing needs of our growing institution.
We place the highest emphasis on providing quality and efficient care. In addition
to providing direct care line service, we offer Hospitalist consultative services.
