Kenneth J. Vega, M.D., FACP, AGAF

Dr. Vega is an expert in gastroesophageal reflux disease and ethnic/gender variations in Barrett's esophagus.  His clinical expertise includes treatment of all manifestations of gastroesophageal reflux disease including Barrett's esophagus, esophageal motor disorders, peptic ulcer disease, and colonoscopy for colon cancer screening. Dr. Vega's research interests are focused on gastrointestinal reflux disease, Barrett's esophagus, esophageal stem cells, esophageal motility, and epidemiology of gastrointestinal cancers along with ethnic/gender disparities in gastrointestinal diseases, treatment and outcome.

Dr. Steve Ellison is a well-respected gastroenterologist with over 25 years of clinical experience performing over 40,000 endoscopic procedures during his career.  His interest includes advanced therapeutic endoscopy and the management of general gastrointestinal disorders.

Dr. Kiernan is an outstanding clinician and hepatologist currently serving as Interim Division Chief for the Division of Gastroenterology/Hepatology.  He directs the hepatology clinics at Augusta University and VAMC and supervises fellows teaching and learning in hepatology.

Dr. Little is a Gastroenterologist and also the Chief of GA at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center.   He joined the division of Gastroenterology in September, 2015.  Dr. Little came to our division most recently from local private practice where he specialized in Gastroenterology since September, 2001.
