About the Fellowship in Hereditary Cancer

Candidate Profile & Fellowship Components

The fellowship is offered to individuals with an MD or DO who have the following characteristics:

  • BE/ BC and eligible to practice in Georgia.
  • Typically, the candidates will be anticipating a career in medical oncology after completing an Internal Medicine residency.
  • Proven interest in genetics

Fellowship Components

  • Practice- based learning with supported personal practice in the HCC
  • Preparation of weekly genetics case conference
  • Completion of City of Hope Intensive Course in Genomic Cancer Risk Assessment Practice
  • Non- ACGME accredited.
  • Instructor appointment, Medical College of Georgia
  • Salary based on Instructor level
  • 1.0 FTE
