Dr. Chin is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia. He completed an Internal
Medicine Residency at the University of Rochester and a Fellowship in Endocrinology
and Metabolism at the National Institutes of Health. He is board certified in Internal
Medicine and Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.
He joined the faculty of the Medical College of Georgia as an Associate Professor
in Medicine in 2002 after being on faculty at the National Institutes of Health, National
Institute of Child Health and Human Development, Developmental Endocrinology Branch
and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
His clinical activities focus on thyroid disorders with special emphasis on thyroid
cancer and thyroid nodules. His basic science research focused on insulin-like growth
factors (IGF’s) and IGF-binding proteins in the kidney, diabetic kidney disease and
cancer. He is active in clinical research and medical education at Augusta University.
