Electrophysiology Fellowship

Develop Focused Skills

The 2-year ACGMEAccreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education accredited Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Program will prepare you to become ABIMAmerican Board of Internal Medicine certified in the subspecialty of electrophysiology.

Three years of prior fellowship-training in general adult cardiology is a required prerequisite for the electrophysiology fellowship program.

The MCG Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship is a two-year training program focusing on comprehensive cardiac rhythm device implantation and management, laser lead extractions, and simple and complex catheter ablation of all forms of arrhythmias.  A full range of ablation technologies are available including Stereotaxis and Cryoballoon ablation.

Our busy EP program is supported by a comprehensive multidisciplinary team of advanced practice providers and clinical nurses.  Our EP faculty closely collaborate with pediatric cardiology in the care of patients with congenital heart disease, and also with cardiothoracic surgery in hybrid AF ablation procedures.  The MCG EP section also actively participates in clinical, translational and health outcomes research projects. Fellows completing the MCG EP fellowship program are well prepared to enter practice in either an academic or community setting.
