To help our MD/PhD students polish the leadership skills they'll need to excel in their chosen fields, we offer ample opportunities for students to engage with and lead peers, faculty, and the community.

Peer Mentoring

During your first years of medical school, you will be paired with an advanced student who understands the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. This peer-to-peer interaction will help you make the most of your educational opportunities. As an advanced student, you will have the opportunity mentor incoming MD/PhD students.

Physician-Scientist Mentors

In addition to working with your PhD advisor, you'll partner with a caring professional who will serve as a role model and

help you achieve the needed balance between research and clinical activities. They provide an experienced voice who can help you make educated decisions, solve problems, avoid mishaps and prepare you for presenting your work at national research conferences.
