Social Wellness

One of the best ways to shake off feelings of sadness and loneliness is to get out and be around friends and family. Here's what you can do to ward off those feelings of isolation.

Stay in Touch

Calling family and friends is a great way to stay in touch with those closest to you. Keeping them up-to-date on how you are feeling and doing gives you a chance to get your feelings out and maybe get some helpful advice. Sometimes just sharing a laugh or cry together can do wonders for your well-being.

Get Together

Humans thrive on social interaction. It's exciting to get out and meet new people or see old friends! Why not get together for lunch, a work out, or a walk? Here are some other ways to get connected:

  • Meetup - Augusta Adventure & Activities Group
  • Augusta Pride
  • Maxwell Theatre

Volunteer

Volunteering in the local community is a great way to get out. It also makes you feel good to help others. We have many volunteer opportunities in the Augusta, Georgia area. Find out more:
