Note: at least one of your recommendations must be submitted from a current or recent (research) mentor or (science) professor.
Once you submit your recommender contact information, each recommender will receive an email notification directing them to the online site where they can complete their recommendation.
If you need to change a recommender, you can log back into the applicant status portal to do so.

In order to be eligible to participate in the STAR Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Must have confirmed housing and reliable transportation to commute to and from campus daily, if on campus housing is not available or is not selected.
Be 18 years or older by start of the STAR session
Completed at least freshman year in college
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program. Candidates who have already graduated from undergraduate college, or will be graduating in Spring 2022 are not eligible for the Summer 2022 session.
Must have proof of current Health Insurance Coverage that extends throughout the duration of the Summer STAR Program
United States Citizenship (or hold permanent resident status) or international students currently enrolled in US college/university holding a student non-immigrant visa. It is the responsibility of the individual applicant to check with the international office at their home institution to determine eligibility for the STAR program and the proper procedures necessary to follow if accepted.
Must have proof of current social security number/card for employment purposes, and be able to provide the original card for documentation
Acceptance into the program is on a competitive basis. The members of the STAR program committee, the Dean of The Graduate School and/or the Director of the STAR program are responsible for all final decisions.
