Associate Deans for Research Council

Charge: *Serve as Advisory Committee to the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research
*Promote all types of research (including but not limited to: wet bench, dry bench, epidemiologic, education, social science, etc.)
*Promote research education, scholarship, and collaboration
*Encourage interdisciplinary research collaborations
*Serve as a “distribution center” of research information, policies, procedures, and requests from the Senior Vice President for Research Office to faculty of Colleges/Schools throughout AU.
*Provide a “highway’ for faculty in AU’s Colleges/Schools to share their research recommendations, concerns and requests to the Office of the Senior Vice President for Research
*Accomplishing goals identified in the AU Strategic Plan, especially the Discovery goals.
*Establish subcommittees as required to facilitate work of the Council
