VESL Simulation & Skills Training Modules
The Virtual Education and Simulation Lab/Center for Operational Medicine provide the
latest technology in medical simulation and surgical skills acquisition to students,
residents, physicians and other allied healthcare workers at MCG and in the region.
The center provides curricular/objective driven training to learners across all levels
and discipline. Learners are provided the opportunity to improve dexterity, cognitive
development and team-base practice.
The center has a variety of low and high fidelity training models. There are a variety
of task trainers to help learners master skill sets needed to proficiently perform
specific procedures. There are also integrated simulators, including whole body mannequins
used to help learners develop cognitive reasoning and efficient performance of emergent
bedside procedures.
