My son was at GRMC, where he had to have heart surgery when he was only a week old. Dr. Karimi was his surgeon, and he did a wonderful job with my baby boy. He was very caring and excellent in taking care of him. Thank you so much from our family.

Our daughter was pre-diagnosed with TGA in the fifth month of pregnancy, giving us
the opportunity to prepare for imminent surgery. The team of 17 medical professionals
present at her delivery gave us comfort. Immediately she was whisked to neonatal intensive
care for an oxygen level analysis. This would have been catastrophic for us; however,
because of the many pre-visits with Dr. Karimi in preparation, we knew these procedures
were necessary.
In the NICU, we were consumed with gratitude and overwhelmed with joy. Our baby was being cared for in one of the nation's BEST hospitals by one of the nation's best cardiologists. Words of encouragement and medical alerts came constantly from Dr. Karimi and his team. He answered our questions even when we did not know exactly what to ask, and told us what to expect before we could anticipate it. He was always on call and assured us that his number one priority was our tiny angel's perfected heart. During the 11-hour surgery, Dr. Karimi made sure we were kept abreast of her progress. “I will perfect her heart, I will take my time, I will not rush, do not worry about the amount of time we are in surgery because I will make sure everything is done without regard to time,” Dr. Karimi told us. His confidence calmed our nerves.
Xiah is now almost a year old: strong, healthy and growing daily. We are blessed to have met Dr. Karimi and his team early in our pregnancy. We cannot reiterate how extremely important pre-natal and follow-up visits are. Xiah's abnormality was not the end of the world, but the beginning of a lifelong relationship with a medical team. Dr. Karimi will be a member of our circle of family friends forever. His desire to enhance the lives of his babies as he gives hope to their families is incalculable. Thank you seems diminutive. We appreciate his passion, applaud his diligence and are grateful to him for giving us a PRICELESS gift of life.
-The family of Xiah W.
Our son was born with tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia. He is now more than
a year old and is doing very well. He has had two open-heart surgeries preformed by
Dr. Karimi. Prior to the surgeries, Dr. Karimi did an awesome job preparing us for
the surgery. He thoroughly explained the procedure so we could completely understand
what "little Bobby" was going to experience. The recovery was difficult emotionally
for us; there are many ups and downs. Dr Karimi was there every step of the way, explaining
everything that was going on with our son. It was so comforting to actually understand
the things our son was experiencing, and to know Dr. Karimi truly cares.
