RESEARCH INTEREST

My laboratory is dedicated to investigating Galectin-3 (Gal-3) and PDZ-binding kinase (PBK) inhibition as potential therapeutic targets for pulmonary vascular disease by investigating the role of Gal-3 and PBK signaling in pulmonary vascular remodeling and fibrosis in PAH using an integrated approach of multiple animal models of PAH, cellular studies, pharmacological and genetic approaches (including KO rat models), as well as in vivo and in vitro measurements of pulmonary arterial and right ventricular function.
