
Community Health Care Systems, Inc. (CHCS), a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center headquartered in Wrightsville, Georgia, with 18 offices dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services for individuals and families in Bibb, Johnson, Washington, Twiggs, Wilkinson, Laurens, Jones, Telfair, Taliaferro, Jefferson, Warren, Hancock, Glascock, and Baldwin Counties. CHCS also provides health education, disease prevention programs, mobile community outreach, and enrollment services.
CHCS physicians and other providers and staff work together to provide high-quality, comprehensive Primary Care services, including: Internal & Family Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Women’s Health, Family Planning, Behavioral Health, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Telehealth, Mobile Health, and Radiology at some locations, and Podiatry. CHCS accepts all forms of insurance and strongly believes its clients have the right to quality care that meets their needs, regardless of their ability to pay.
CHCS provides care for everyone regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. CHCS is Recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) as a Patient Centered Medical Home. Components of CHCS have had a more than three-decade partnership with MCG’s Department of Family Medicine for both Undergraduate and Graduate Medical Education, service, and research partnerships. CHCS is exploring, along with other FQHC partners, the development of a collaborative Teaching Health Center-sponsored Family Medicine Residency Program, which will engage area hospital health systems.
Community Health Care Systems. Inc., which has a long history of Medical College of Georgia (MCG), student and resident educational engagement is using its clinical platforms to provide a variety of required and elective clinical student experiences as an MCG Educational Affiliate. These learning opportunities are supervised by members of the FQHC’s physician staff who hold MCG Community Clinical Faculty appointments and are further facilitated by others in its interprofessional team of clinical providers.
