Augusta University held its annual Lighting of the Tree on Thursday, Nov. 30.
Two holiday ornaments are being sold this year to benefit alumni associations – an Augusta University ornament featuring the beautiful arched gateway of the Summerville Campus and an ornament depicting the Old Medical College building and its iconic columns in downtown Augusta.
For the first time in school history, Augusta University passed the 10,000 student mark and celebrated the occasion. The university now has 10,546 students enrolled, a 7.5% increase over last fall's enrollment numbers.
