Welcome, Families and Guests!

Families and supporters are an important part of a student's transition to Augusta University. Parents, family members, and other guests may attend the separate Parent & Family Orientation track while their student completes the student program.

Use this page to plan for orientation and learn what to expect. For updates, resources, and family events throughout the year, create an account in the Jaguar Family Hub.

Guest Registration

Students may register up to five guests for in-person orientation. The guest fee is $50 per person. Register each guest with the student in the orientation registration portal.

The guest fee supports the family program, meals, materials, and related services. Students and guests participate in separate tracks for part of the day.

Price Breakdown

  • Guest fee: $50 per person
  • Maximum of five guests

Payment: Students may pay orientation fees through the enrollment portal before the session or at check-in. Orientation fees are non-refundable. An unpaid orientation balance places a hold on the student's account and may affect class registration until the balance is satisfied.

Fee and fee-waiver questions are handled by New Student & Family Transitions in alignment with the University System of Georgia approved fee schedule. Contact orientation@augusta.edu for individual guidance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I receive a confirmation?

Yes. The student will receive a confirmation with the session date, registration details, and current arrival and parking instructions.

When should I make travel and hotel arrangements?

Wait until the student has registered and received a confirmation email before making non-refundable travel or hotel arrangements.

Can the student change the orientation date?

Students may reschedule in their enrollment portal through the Friday before the scheduled session. For help, email orientation@augusta.edu.

I need to add or change guest information.

Update the registration in the student's enrollment portal through the Friday before the session. If you need help, email orientation@augusta.edu.

Can orientation fees be refunded?

No. Student and guest orientation fees are non-refundable.
