We are excited to have you be a part of Augusta University and have you attend our Parent & Family Orientation track with your student.

Family Moving in to Oak Hall We look forward to meeting you and your student(s) when you arrive for your scheduled Parent & Family Orientation track! As a supporter of a new Jag, you are encouraged to attend the Parent & Family Orientation track with your student, whether they are a Freshman or a Transfer student.

Please refer to this page throughout your student's first year at Augusta University to learn about resources and information available to you and your student. We encourage you to take time to explore and learn more about Augusta University's campuses and the Augusta and greater CSRA communities.

We look forward to providing you and your student(s) with a memorable experience to help you, as a family, transition into the Augusta University family.

In-Person Orientation days will only allow 2 Guests.


Guest Registration

During Parent and Family Orientation, guests are invited to come and support their student(s). As a guest, you would attend an orientation experience like no other, one that is tailored to your experience as a supporter of a new Jag.

All guests will be charged a Registration fee for in person days. This fee is charged to you incoming Augusta University student's admissions portal upon registration. 

Our registration fee includes the cost of the program, including: meals (varies by length of orientation program), materials and all services provided.

If you and your student intend on attending Orientation and are from out of the area, we encourage you to check out our list of local hotels. 

Price Breakdown

  • Guest Fee- $25 (In-Person one day)
  • Limit 2 guests for In-Person events

Please make sure that your student has registered guests at the time of registration.  After the student registers for their New Student Orientation, please follow the payment link provided to your student in the pop-up confirmation and/or in the follow-up email sent to the student's Augusta University email account to pay their Orientation Fee, and any additional costs associated with attendance.

We accept a web check, Discover, Visa and MasterCard. Cash will not be accepted.


Frequently Asked Questions

Yes! You will receive two confirmations: one confirmation with your New Student Orientation session date and registration information and the other confirmation will confirm payment.

Do NOT make any airline, bus, train or car reservations until AFTER you have registered and paid for your session and have received a confirmation email.

Do NOT make any hotel reservations until AFTER your student has registered and paid for their New Student Orientation experience and have received a confirmation email.

If your student needs to change their date, they may do so by logging into the system and selecting any date that is visible to them. If they have trouble changing their date, please contact the Office of New Student & Family Transitions via email at orientation@augusta.edu.

New Student Orientation fees (both student and guest) are only refundable in certain circumstances. Deciding not to attend Augusta University or having admission rescinded due to poor academic performance does not qualify to receive a refund. Refund requests made less than a week out will not be granted.
