Staff and Postdoctoral Fellows Performance Appraisals

Performance appraisals are due annually between March 1 and April 30, with a submission date to Human Resources no later than May 15. Performance appraisals are managed by the Compensation and Performance Management Department. Due to the roll out of ePerformance the deadline for submission to Human Resources has been extended to June 15.

We are pleased to announce that we are rolling out ePerformance, an automated evaluation solution in PeopleSoft, for the 2017 University staff evaluations.  The implementation of the electronic solution is based on continuous feedback over the years seeking an automated, paperless system.

The evaluation tool is the same as it has been in past years, it is just now available on line in PeopleSoft's ePerformance module. Managers and Employees will be able to complete the process on-line, instead of using a paper document.  Detailed training manuals have been created and are listed below.

Appraisals for temporary employees should be submitted directly to HR Records at HS 1113 (Intercampus) or 1120 15th Street, HS 1113, Augusta Georgia 30912 (Off Campus); via the "Box" (Electronically). 

Mid-year appraisals should be completed (on paper document for now) on employees who receive Needs Immediate Improvement in any of the performance factors or as an overall rating; also complete for those who received an action plan for improvement.  Mid-year appraisals should be completed in the month of September and submitted to HR by October 15 annually.  If completed, please submit to HR Records.

Employees who receive an action plan to improve performance documented in their annual performance appraisal will require written follow-up to determine if expectations have been met. Please utilize one of the action plan follow-up memorandum templates listed below.

Executive Leadership

Performance evaluations for executive leadership staff will be conducted July 1st through August 15th, annually. Mid-Year reviews, if necessary, will be conducted December through January annually. University leadership performance evaluations are on-line. The deadline for submitting University evaluations are September 15th.  Please see the training manuals below:
