Project: Analyze state, district, and school data to identify four problems of practice that
impacts teaching and learning in my school. I will research solutions to address those
identified problems of practice in my context.
Why did you choose your degree program? I chose this program because I want to grow my leadership skills and add more tools
to my leadership toolbox. The Educational Leadership Tier 2 Program is helping me
gain the knowledge to lead teachers and students to reach their greatest potential
in the realm of teaching and learning.
What words of wisdom have you learned from your mentor? “Everything starts and ends with good leadership practices.”
What have you found most beneficial about your program at AU? The professors at AU are personable and relatable. They are intentional about building
relationships with their students to ensure that all students feel supported during
this program. The coursework fosters high collaboration with program mates and allows

What have been some of your most rewarding moments while in your program? I would say that being chosen and recognized as an ambassador for this distinguished
program is truly the most rewarding.
What are your career goals? My short term goal is to become a principal and my long term career goal is to work
for the Ga Department of Education.
What courses in your program's curriculum stand out as most helpful for your specific
career goals? My Residency Course is helping me prepare for the Performance Assessment for School
Leaders, allowing ample opportunities for district observations, growing my skills
in research and analysis, and equipping me with the mindset and tools to lead on the
school and district level.
What AU resources have been most helpful? The most useful resources are my professors and my advisor. Their feedback and expertise
have been valuable to me during this experience.
What is your favorite AU memory? My favorite memory during the start of the first semester is meeting with my Residency
advisor (Dr. Agunloye) and my school and district coaches. During this meeting, we
discussed program expectations and experiences that needed to happen for my growth
and development during this program. I feel thankful to have a team around me that
supports and cares about my success in the program.
What do you do for fun (hobbies etc)? Making memories with my family, community service, percussionist for my church, and
reading up on the latest educational research.
