Ravi Komaravolu, Ph.D.
Research Scientist
Hello there, I am from Hyderabad, India. I received my Ph.D. in Vascular Medicine from Ruprecht Karls Universität Heidelberg in Germany, in collaboration with the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
I came to the United States in 2015 for a postdoctoral position at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. There, I studied the impact of dietary lipids on cardio-metabolic diseases. During my time as an Assistant Staff Scientist at OMRF in Oklahoma City, I studied sex-specific differences in metabolic inflammation.
In 2022, I joined the Immunology Center of Georgia to advance my knowledge of vascular immunology.
The science of immune cell metabolism and immuno-oncology fascinates me.
My intellectual curiosity stems not only from science but also from people. Cultures, countries, and worldviews that are different from mine intrigue me. Coffee and small talk about science always make me happy.
My all-time favorite quote: The whole of science is nothing more than a refinement of everyday thinking, Albert Einstein.
