Student Jobs

The following positions are open to students wanting to work in the Campus Recreation Center.

Member Services Assistant
No experience necessary, Training is provided.

Duties

  • Perform opening and closing procedures.
  • Verify Membership.
  • Membership sales.
  • Report any suspicious or  unauthorized activities t the building supervisor on duty.
  • Keep front desk and immediate surrounding area neat and orderly.
  • Sales.
  • Process any clerical work form professional staff.
  • Manage the checking-out of equipment.
  • Badge replacement and ordering.
  • Serve as the area attendant.

Schedule and Pay

Work shifts:
Monday - Thursday:

  • 6:00 am-9:00 am
  • 9:00 am-1:00 pm
  • 1:00 pm-6:00 pm
  • 6:00 pm-10:00 pm

Saturdays:

  • 10:00 am-2:00 pm
  • 2:00pm- 6:00pm

Sunday: 1:00pm-6:00pm

Pay: $8:00/hour (to start)


Intramural Sports Official
No experience necessary. Training is provided for each sport.

Officials are needed for volleyball, futsal, flag football, basketball, soccer, dodgeball, and softball.

Duties

  • Report to work 15 minutes prior to competition in uniform and ready to work.
  • Fulfill schedule obligations.
  • Assist with set-up and tear down of intramural equipment as needed.
  • Make sure scorecards are correct.
  • Assist with special events.
  • Attend and participate in all scheduled training sessions and meetings related to Intramural Sports.
  • Thorough knowledge of Intramural rules and regulations along with officiating procedures pertaining to each particular sport.
  • Assist in maintaining safe playing conditions for all games.
  • Submit to periodic written and practical evaluations.
  • Knowledge of emergency policy and procedures.
  • Consciousness of games and potential problems and conflicts.
  • All other assigned duties.

Schedule and Pay

Schedule: Varies by sport. Intramural sports are offered:
Monday - Thursday from 6:00pm - 10:00pm.

Pay:  $7.50/hour


Intramural Sports Scorekeeper
No experience necessary. Training is provided for each sport.

Scorekeepers are needed for volleyball, futsal, flag football, basketball, soccer, dodgeball, and softball.
*Currently, only basketball scorekeeper needed.

Duties

  • Accurately maintain the score and time for various sporting events.
  • Check and verify student identification prior to the start of each contest.
  • Report to work 15 minutes prior to all competitions.
  • Assist in game preparation and tear down.
  • Knowledge of the University's Intramural Sports Program policies.
  • Attend and participate in any mandatory training sessions for each sport.
  • Communicate any problems, member concerns, or suggestions to the Intramural Coordinator or Graduate Assistant.
  • All other assigned duties.

Schedule: Varies by sport. Intramural sports are offered:
Monday - Thursday from 6:00pm - 10:00pm.

Pay:  $7.50/hour

Requirements

  • Applicant must be ACSM, ACE, AFAA, or W.I.T.S. certified
  • Must know CPR and first aid
