Chemistry major Delphine Baumert interned at SRNL the two past summers under the guidance of Dr. Simona Murph, a principal scientist at the National Laboratory. Delphine worked as a member of Dr. Murph’s intern group which is called the Group for Innovation and Advancements in Nano-Technology Sciences (GIANTS). Delphine’s research project was entitled “Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Nanothermometers”. Delphine presented this research last year at the National CURS conference and plans to also present this fall at SERMACS. Delphine graduated from AU this past spring and is now a chemistry graduate student at Georgia State University focusing on Biochemistry. Congratulations and best wishes to Delphine!
