Education and Research Experience
  • Postdoctoral researcher, Augusta University, USA
  • Postdoctoral researcher, University of Rostock, Germany
  • Scientific researcher R&D - ScreenSYS GmbH, Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany
  • Postdoctoral researcher, Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-organization, Göttingen, Germany
  • PhD, Physics, Max Planck Institute - PKS/Technical University- Dresden, Germany

Research Interests
  • The focus of my research is developing quantitative computational models using tools from physics, engineering and computational methods to understand the physical principles governing processes in biological systems. Ongoing work involves (i) studying dynamics and self-organization during leaf vein morphogenesis and synthetic intercellular signaling; (ii) influence of external electric field on collective osteoblast cell migration and electric field on cell shape; (iii) dynamics of cell division in stem cell differentiation, and (iv) biochemo-mechanical influence on whole plant regeneration from isolated protoplasts.
