Emerging Data Science Methods for Complex Biomedical and Cyber Data

We cordially invite you to participate in the Third Annual Workshop, Emerging Data Science Methods for Complex Biomedical and Cyber Data, on the Augusta University (AU) Riverfront campus, March 16-17, 2023. The workshop features several eminent speakers who are pioneers in the fields of data science including big data analytics. The workshop aims to foster the collaborative research between data science/statistics and other disciplinary science for the purpose of meeting the very hardest and most important data and model-driven scientific challenges, and for enhancing the much-needed skills of the next generation workforce.  

The workshop is financially supported by the National Science Foundation, Augusta University Office of SVP for Research, Augusta University Department of Population Health Sciences, Augusta University School of Computer and Cyber Sciences, and co-sponsored by the Institute of Mathematical Statistics (IMS) & the Southern Regional Council on Statistics (SRCOS).

Travel Award

With the NSF funding, we are able to support approximately 15 undergraduate and graduate students to attend the workshop. Undergraduate students are not required to give a presentation to receive the travel award. Graduate students, who apply for the travel award, must present posters or give five-minute oral presentations on their respective research closely related to the theme of this workshop.
