Freshman Convocation is a welcome event hosted for incoming, first-year freshman to integrate them into the AU experience! Students will be welcomed by AU executive leadership, receive their class pin, take a class photo, meet the faculty and staff who work in their college, and participate in a college brunch. This is an exciting time for students to begin their legacy at AU, and the entire AU community will be there to support them!

Welcome Brigade will take place around each campus to welcome students back to school. There will be staff from different departments to hand out information about upcoming events, giveaways, resources on campus and reconnecting with students!

Welcome Back Bash, our highly anticipated annual event, kicks off with an electrifying pep rally at Christenberry Fieldhouse, where we introduce our AU athletic teams to the roaring student body. Following the rally, the excitement continues with a high-energy takeover featuring music, giveaways, engaging activities, and opportunities for students to connect and celebrate the start of a new academic year.

Welcome Back Second Years is a tabling event hosted by F/SYE on the 1st floor, University Hall lobby (shuttle-side) and the Health Sciences EC Lobby where planners and ice cream are given out to AU sophomore students. Sophomores can drop-in at any point in the tabling event, and they can also sign-up for any of the available fall book clubs hosted by F/SYE.

Climb the tower, take on the challenge course, and experience everything The CORE has to offer. Whether you're a first-year student or returning to campus, this is a great opportunity to try something different, meet people, and start the semester with a little adventure. No experience is necessary, and our staff will provide all equipment and instruction. Free for all Augusta University students. Wear closed-toe shoes, bring a water bottle, and drop in anytime between 4:00 and 8:00 PM.
