STORM - First Responder 

STORM - First Responder is a four-hour tactical medicine course intended for law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel who may be required to be a part of the initial response to an active shooter and other tactical incidents. Emphasis is placed on teaching the minimum interoperable skills required to successfully serve as a member of a rescue task force.

Upon completion of the course, students will be competent in providing lifesaving interventions for the most common causes of preventable death and rapid casualty extraction in a high threat tactical environment, and receive a STORM First Responder certificate.

Prerequisites:

  •      High school or General Education Development diploma.
  •      Valid state driver license.
  •      Proof of affiliation with a public safety agency.
