IRIS Photo Booth
The IRIS photo booth is for Augusta University students and staff to get their professional headshot taken.
This resource is FREE and funded in partnership with the Division of Enrollment and Student Affairs, and University Libraries. The system is managed by Career Services as part of the University’s commitment to the professional development of all students.
- Located in Greenblatt Library. 1439 Laney Walker Blvd, Augusta, GA 30901.
- Free of Charge. Our photo booth is completely free for use by all students and staff.
- No appointment needed. Just walk in and step in line! Access to the booth is aligned with the operational hours of the Greenblatt Library.
HOW IT WORKS
After arriving at Greenblatt Library, the process of getting your headshots takes four easy steps:
Pose
Step inside the booth and follow simple prompts on the touchscreen. A professional camera automatically takes headshots of you in front of a clean background with studio-quality lighting.
Edit
IRIS Photo Booth allows you to edit your headshot. You can crop, brighten, or add filters to your photo, and you can even soften blemishes.
Download
Once you receive a link to your headshots via email, create an account to access and download them.
Share
Share your headshot with the world! Add to your LinkedIn profile, online portfolio, resume, application, or website!
APPROPRIATE USE: The photo booth is being provided to users for the purpose of professional headshots. Photos MUST NOT contain lewd or obscene gestures, props, or nudity. Please note that Career Services has administrative access to all photos and reviews them periodically to ensure appropriate use and content. Inappropriate use will result in suspension of future access to the booth, as well as referral to the Office of the Dean of Students for potential disciplinary action.

Is there a cost?
Nope! Our Photo Booth is completely free.
What should I wear?
- Solid colors are best and mid-range to darker/deeper sades are encouraged.
- Avoid large amounts of white and other light colors because they may draw attention away from your face.
- Solid black should also be avoided as the detail does not capture well in photos (light and dark colors are both fine if you wear a jacket or sweater).
- Avoid wearing distracting patterns or accessories.
- Business casual or business professional is strongly encouraged.
Who all will have access to my photo?
Career Services has administrative access to all photos and reviews them periodically to ensure appropriate use and content. Photos must be compliant with conduct and electronic usage policies.
How many photos do I get?
The booth provides 3 photos, plus one retake, per session. While you can complete as many sessions as you like, if there are others waiting, you must refrain from additional sessions to allow others to use the system in a timely manner. There are edit tools available on the site when you retrieve your photos, so don’t feel like you have to complete all edits at the booth.
How long will I have access to my photos?
You will receive an email allowing you to set up an IRIS account to access, edit, and download your photos for ongoing use. We suggest you download them for your permanent access, as the university is not responsible for maintaining the photos for you.
What if I require accommodations?
The IRIS photo booth uses a fixed camera setting, so those who are unable to use the booth can email Career Services at careercenter@augusta.edu to coordinate an alternate time and location to accommodate a professional headshot.
What if I have technical issues with the booth?
Please notify us at careercenter@augusta.edu or contact the help desk co-located by the booth to report.
