Concerto Competition

The Department of Music holds a Concerto Competition each year in early February. Open to all music majors, vocal and instrumental, three winners are chosen to perform their selections with the AU Orchestra during the Spring concert in April.

In order to enter, students must submit their application form to the departmental office before the deadline in late January. Depending on the number of entrants, the auditions will be in either one or two rounds. The final round is presented publicly before the music student body and is judged by the music faculty. A cash prize is given to all winners.
