SSH accreditation logoThe MCG Educational Simulation program provides immersive simulated clinical experiences using low- and high-fidelity mannequins, standardized patients, task trainers, and other hands-on technologies to create individual, group, and interprofessional learning opportunities. Simulation is integrated across the spectrum of medical education, including medical students, residents, fellows, and faculty.

The mission of the Educational Simulation program is to provide support to the Medical College of Georgia community in the design, development, implementation, and study of high-quality formative and summative clinical simulation activities.

We strive to:

  • Provide a positive educational experience for all learners in a safe environment.
  • Allow learners to apply their knowledge to practice.
  • Provide learners with the opportunity to experience a variety of clinical situations in a standardized setting, allowing for valid and reliable assessment.
  • Develop faculty in the best practices of simulation education.
