Bio
Dr. Brackett joined the faculty of the College of Dental Medicine in 2003, following appointments at four previous dental schools. He received his master’s degree in operative dentistry, with minors in dental materials and preventive dentistry, from Indiana University. He was professor and director of operative dentistry and professor of fixed prosthodontics in the Department Restorative Sciences from 2008 through 2015, at which time he reduced his appointment to 49%. In 2022, he further reduced his appointment to 5%. Dr. Brackett has been a scientific reviewer for nine dental journals and has authored more than 90 scientific articles. He was made professor emeritus in 2023.
