Open Paws Food Pantry is open to all current enrolled AU students. Golden Harvest Food Bank provides food resources throughout Georgia and South Carolina to help those in need overcome hunger and lead happy, healthy lives.

AA is a recovery resource devoted to support the men and women of Georgia. Breath healthier, too. We can help you stop smoking! Our cessation clinic and classes use evidence-based methods to help you and the people you care about live healthier lives without tobacco! Methadone clinics in Georgia provide opiate dependent individuals with support, medical care and assistance in overcoming addiction.

Social Wellness

One of the best ways to shake off feelings of sadness and loneliness is to get out and be around friends and family. Here's what you can do to ward off those feelings of isolation.

Stay in Touch

Calling family and friends is a great way to stay in touch with those closest to you. Keeping them up-to-date on how you are feeling and doing gives you a chance to get your feelings out and maybe get some helpful advice. Sometimes just sharing a laugh or cry together can do wonders for your well-being.

Get Together

Humans thrive on social interaction. It's exciting to get out and meet new people or see old friends! Why not get together for lunch, a work out, or a walk? Here are some other ways to get connected:

  • Antidote: A publication featuring art, poems, and stories written by the MCG community. You are invited to connect with your peers by reading the magazine, you can also submit your own work.

Emotional Wellness

Medical school and residency are some of the most challenging endeavors you will ever take on...dealing with stress is a big part of it. However, if your feelings of stress are affecting you more than usual, you need to seek help as soon as possible. The Office of Learner Well-being is in place to help you get through these times.
