The Master of Science (MS) degree program in epidemiology is designed for both recent college graduates and working professionals who want to focus on building their research methodology and analytical skill sets.  Potential students include physicians, nurses, healthcare administrators, project directors, and other healthcare professionals.

The MS in Epidemiology is a 100% online degree program for students who want to gain additional theoretical and applied knowledge in epidemiology as well as the skills and credentials they need to advance in their career. This program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in epidemiology. This degree program is designed for highly motivated professionals or recent college graduates working in academia, clinics, healthcare companies, federal agencies, health departments, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, or other healthcare settings.

The program requires 36 total credit hours, including 5 research Capstone course credit hours. The Capstone course is the culminating experience for students enrolled in the MS degree program in epidemiology. It will be feasible for students to complete the Capstone course in their local area, which is important for students who live outside the Augusta metropolitan area. Students completing their Capstone will interact with faculty online. The program should take four semesters to complete, even for a working professional, and is delivered in an online format.
